Microsoft Hope Nokia to Sell 100 Million Devices Windows 7 Phone Per Year

After the signing of a strategic alliance between Microsoft and Nokia, it seems to make the software giant have great hopes for the new partners.

How not, the software company based in Redmond, the United States is hoping to sell 100 million units of Windows-based devices Phone annually.

"We had dreams and aspirations in which we can get 100 million units per year with a single deal," said Kevin Turner, Chief Operating Officer of Microsoft, as quoted PULSAonline via BGR.

Previously CEO of Microsoft, Steve Ballmer also said that sales of Windows Phone is still "very small", and will now leih clearer than ever where the agreement with Nokia claimed will potentially make or break Microsoft's mobile business.

Enormous expectations that Microsoft announced at its partner, Nokia is well-founded. The problem though, there are currently some smartphone vendors who have been willing to hire the services of Windows Phone creations, such as Samsung, HTC, and LG. But the third turned out to be more focused vendors to refine Android smartphones and 'leaving' Windows 7 Phone.

Interesting fact is on Android platform has grown rapidly over the last eight months, while Microsoft's mobile OS market share in major markets in the United States has reportedly experienced a 35% drop since Windows 7 Phone was introduced last November.
